trained in classical piano, i moved to Vermont and studied improvisation with jazz musicians and dancers, eventually starting a four-piece math-rock band that toured and moved me to NYC. here, i collaborated with everyone from country to sonic noise, brushing elbows with many greats and building a fun community of musicians and artists alike (including Cass McCombs, Au Revoir Simone, and the YYY's)
